‘Makiling’ Inter-cultural Arts Festival, Philippines.

Sinead will be making a performance and delivering a workshop at ‘Makiling’ Inter-cultural Arts Festival curated by Vim Nadera, national poet, performance artist and educator. Hosted by The Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA), which is a government-run secondary school for the artistically-gifted Filipino youth. It is a public, secular, non-profit institution mandated to implement a general high school program combined with a special curriculum oriented to the arts. Established in June 1977, the PHSA aims to develop a core of world class artists honed in a learning environment that harnesses the best mainstream and alternative pedagogies. It constantly strives to develop the potential of its young Filipino scholars, as well as its faculty, staff, and partner cultural workers, with the end in view of achieving the highest standards of artistic excellence.
